This Maratona dles Dolomites’ theme is Umanité. A great, symbolic word. Yet what kind of humanity exists on our planet nowadays? People who wage war, bombard dams, preach land consumption despite leaving indelible marks on the ground? We choose to not hear or see and continue playing our games. Let’s dream about traffic-free roads and passes in the Dolomites, even if it’s just for one day. Let’s dream about people from all over the world, coming here to cycle to their heart’s content. Let’s dream about a humanity which glides on the roads rather than filling them with their obtuse and shallow views.
